Baimon Zettelkasten
Baimon is open and free software (GPL licensed) and runs in your browser on a small Python server. The 1.3 MB zip file (less than a photo on your mobile!) contains a whole suite of tools for writers, teachers, students, and Zettelkasten enthusiasts – and comes with many themes and 33 languages.
The core idea is to be independent of the operating system, keep everything in one place for easy backup, and remain portable with your entire Zettelkasten.

As a single-user desktop app (minimum 14″ monitor required), it is ultra-portable — a Zettelkasten on a stick. All Markdown text files (Zettel) are autosaved, stored locally, and left unmodified by any extra code, so you can open and edit them in any text editor of your choice.
Many tools are included: automatic backlinks, a local node graph for each Zettel (depth 4), export, import, simple link and media insertion, linking to a text block in another file, formula rendering, serendipity functions, and much more. Baimon can also handle large note collections (tested with 10,000 *.md files).
